County Central Committee

The Poweshiek County Republican Central Committee met on March 9th. It was a good meeting with a special birthday party for Chuck Dunham. We are moving forward with the county tour, filling the committees, and other updates for the 2010 Election Cycle. I want to be sure that each Republican in Poweshiek County knows that you do not have to be a member of the central committee to attend the monthly meeting. We had two new visitors at our last meeting. If you think that just by showing up that we would try to get you into the committee; that didn't happen to our visitors. I just want to see as many Republicans at the meetings to keep informed. As always, feel free to contact me with any comments, questions, or concerns.

Standing Committees

As the new Chairman of the Poweshiek County Republicans, I am moving forward with the idea of Standing Committees. These committees will include, 2010 Strategy & Planning, Technology, Fundrasing, Communications, Voter Relations, Legal, Education & Training,
Opposition, Nominations, and Elected Officals Relations. It is my hope that we will fill these committees in the next month or so. I plan to organize the county party into a force that finds, helps, and elects good Republicans. I am always open to comments, questions, and the concerns of Republicans. This is a closed group, but all registered Republicans that live in, or have interests in Poweshiek County will be approved.
